Contest Countdown
Brassbanned is thrilled to be heading to Rotorua next week to provide live streaming of the 2015 NZ National Band Championships.

If you’re not sure what this means – or haven’t watched a live stream before – don’t worry! You’ll be able to watch the NZ National Brass Band Championships live on your computer, tablet or smart-phone, where ever you are in the world. Have a look at this How to Prepare guide for more information on getting ready for what many people are already calling ‘the highlight of 2015’.

Team Brassbanned will be touching down late Wednesday evening. We will be setting up on Thursday – if everything goes to plan (and doesn’t it always…?) we will live stream the Champion of Champions event on Thursday evening, the Street March on Friday – and both competition halls on Friday and Saturday. As always, there is a lot of planning and a little bit of luck in making sure everything happens! So please cross your collective fingers for fast venue internet, good 4G internet for the street march – and no rain!

We will be posting full program information on the morning of each day’s competition (when the program information is all in the public domain) – but in the meantime we will be updating the site with start times for each of the sections.

Brassbanned will have a selection of awe-inspiring merchandise for sale at the contest – caps, t-shirts and tea-towels. We won’t be able to bring all our stock (as we’re mostly concerned with bringing great cameras and excellent microphones), so you’ll have to get in quick. If you miss out at the contest, you can always buy online at our online shop.

Brassbanned would like to thank ABI Music, the local organising committee and BBNZ for their support in making this year’s stream happen.

Most of all, Loyal Viewers, we’d like to thank you for watching! Streaming competitions would be no fun if no one was watching…
